“Am eating here now as I write the review. The place looks very nice, by Hanoi standards. Colonial building that also houses the German bibliothek and admin centre. Food was priced very decently. Our party of 4 ordered the grilled Aussie beef steak. For VND 500k, it is reasonable. With free flow of bread, what else can a man ask for.
Now comes the beef review. I must admit this is now a case of you get what you pay for. I highly doubt the beef origins and seriously, not fit to be served unless you are a tiger that doesn’t look what gets put into your mouth. Lotsa tendons, tough to cut but seasoning was okay.
Although I thought I’d return, I doubt so now.”
“We were escorted outside as the only Westerners in the place and just got the last food before they closed for lunch
The outside area is a courtyard which is enclosed by colonial style buildings on all sides one of which is the Goethe Foundation
We had the goulash which came with bread a plate if fries and two sodas and the bill cane to 280k dong
The food was really tasty and made up for local service which was average
Close to Fine Arts Museum so worth dropping in if you need somewhere close by and safe to eat etc”
