“I had visited a couple of years ago and had enjoyed having some ‘Pâté chaud’ (hot flaky savoury pastry) and coffee. I thought that my wife & I could have some more of the same – a quiet cup of coffee & some pastry. This time round – no eat in, only take away and the pastry was cold! I asked for the Pâté to be heated up and thought that I’d have a Pain Au Chocolat warmed up as well. I was informed that they would warm up my Pâté but that they would not warm up my Pain Au Chocolat! So I waited for my Pâté and my wife had a Tarte with almonds and we munched on these outside. The Pâté was stodgy and not very flaky and only luke warm – not very nice. The Tarte’s pastry was soggy suggesting that it was not very fresh.”
