“Great hot dogs, why its so hard to get a good one in Hanoi, I don’t know why, but its no problem at the Red, White & Blue. Friendly staff, cool proprietors, great place for good conversation, a good meal and a cold beer or G&T”
“I’ve been to red, white and blue a few times now and have always found it to be a welcoming environment with a relaxed and friendly feel.
Although the place is very small it’s still comfortable and has a sense of intimacy which combines with the great hospitality to give the feeling of stopping in at a friends flat back home for lunch.
This is also supported by the menu which comprises a range of simple and basic comfort-foods from home and a selection of Vietnamese dishes. In addition to being one of the only places in Hanoi where you can find spaghetti and meatballs, they offer traditional pub grub like butties, toasties and baked potatoes and fast-food classics like burgers, hotdogs and fish&chips.
When you want some western food but don’t want anything fancy or the hassle of a restaurant this is the place to come. You can enjoy a good feed of simple fare done well while having a nice chat with Marcus.”
