How did Hanoi Ceramic Mosaic Mural start?

According to Nguyen Thu Thuy, the main budget of Hanoi Ceramic Mosaic Mural was owing to the community, investment of the government, and her own family money. The journalist accompanying with her husband had to spend a lot of money for the beginning of the project. Additionally, her husband was said to force himself to sell his beloved collection for the project. Nothing but the love for Hanoi was the statement of the couple who wanted to improve the living environment and advertise the traditional ceramic and pottery products.
During 4 years, Hanoi Ceramic Mosaic Mural attracted the participation of 35 artists all over the world such as Denmark, French, Finland, Spain, Italy, the UK, the US, Argentina, New Zealand, and Australia. Besides, there were more than 100 craftsmen, 500 residents, students from art schools to join in.
