Reviews:

“Pho Bien is a popular dinner venue for business people. You can enjoy many variety of seafood – some of the best (North) Vietnam has to offer, but living in Ho Chi Minh City, I feel that it’s average, but understandable as Hanoi doesn’t have as rich seafood culture as its southern counterpart. The restaurant is large and can be a bit intimidating if going as a couple or a party less than 4 people.”

“We were invited to this restaurant for lunch by one of our business partners. This is very authentic eatery for those who wish to taste local Vietnamese seafood. The first sign of a good place – it was full of local people who choose it for their lunch. I was not disappointed.”

“The Pho Bien Seafood Restaurants are — in my opinion — the best in Ha Noi… they offer a big array of Hai San dishes, which are very fresh, well-prepared + super yummy — and at excellent prices too (compared with other places which specialize in live fish, crustaceans, and molluscs). The service is extremely friendly, courteous, & efficient, the interior & outside dining areas are impeccably clean and pleasant for enjoying your delicious meal. Going to Pho Bien is a weekly ritual that I conduct without fail 🙂 For solo diners like moi, their grilled scallops, soft-shell crab, oysters, and special seafood fried rolls (with panko coating) can be ordered individually. Be sure to try their stir-fried Chinese broccoli too (as this favorite dish of mine seems to be hard to find elsewhere). There is always a lively crowd at Pho Bien, and its high popularity among the locals is well-earned… Enjoy :)”
